  • Economists Once Dismissed the A.I. Job Threat, but Not Anymore

“Economists Once Dismissed the A.I. Job Threat, but Not Anymore” By Ben Casselmam 03 April 2026 https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/03/business/economists-once-dismissed-the-ai-job-threat-but-not-anymore.html

One thing that I noticed that, although it is not affecting people who are currently working, AI is potentially affecting overall younger audiences who are going into the job market and trying to find jobs for themselves. Some of the jobs that I’m currently noticing that are being taken over by AI or people are less searching for a software engineering because that takes a lot of coding, which AI currently could do if asked by someone.

Overall, this article seems optimistic about how AI although increasing and taking over potentially we can overall understand that it is not taking over jobs completely, and it will not prevent people from losing their jobs either.

  • How Will AI Affect the US Labor Market?

“How Will AI Affect the US Labor Market?” by Goldman Sachs 18 March 2026 https://www.goldmansachs.com/insights/articles/how-will-ai-affect-the-us-labor-market

Overall, the point of the article is to show us statistically how we are changing and progress progressing overtime in the job markets with AI being involved. This article claims that although AI is taking over it’s not completely taking over or destroying job markets for us, but it is actually just shifting the way laborers are being made where it is needed.

This article says AI will make the world a little bit more wealthier with the way they are choosing to advance it. But the things that people that have jobs or people who are looking for job jobs in the market are benefiting from are being able to use creative knowledge into the power/infrastructure sectors.

  • How AI may reshape career pathways to better jobs

“How AI may reshape career pathways to better jobs” By Justin Heck 02 April 2026. https://www.brookings.edu/articles/how-ai-may-reshape-career-pathways-to-better-jobs/

Overall, this article saying that we might not lose our jobs but we might reshape the way that job markets are so that people have pathways to a career and could be able to program it so it fits AI, but also people are working in the office. Some of the many ways this article suggests going about it is by “Employers rely on these pathways to find “experienced talent.” If the entry-level and mid-level roles are disrupted by AI, the “pipeline” that feeds skilled workers into senior positions dries up.”

Overall, with the purpose of this format of This new pathway is so that workers An employers are able to understand people of higher skill that can show that AI is not capable of doing such things which is why It is giving a chance to rebuild, but also provide promotions move up in their companies.

  • Why Even Basic A.I. Use Is So Bad for Students

”Why Even Basic A.I. Use Is So Bad for Students” By Anastasia Berg, 29 Oct. 2025.https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/29/opinion/ai-students-thinking-school-reading.html

This article is stating that basically students development of cognitively language and linguistics Are slowly going down because of how much they are using AI. One reason for this is that people are not built to know language and how to use it, but they can learn by doing best practices. However, because of the use of AI, Their abilities are decreasing because they are not actually learning or practicing ways they can write. This is changing the capability of cognitively thinking, and developing.

One of the reason why it is harder in a higher education is because the fact that people are now using tech and the resources In their technology so that they can submit work that is asked of teachers. I do think the college students or a higher ad has the ability to understand the will of doing so so that they can collectively learning and think, but I don’t know if teachers have the ability to learn what it was like to be in a classroom and use Piaget skills in the classroom for students.

  • Students Are Skipping the Hardest Part of Growing Up

”Students Are Skipping the Hardest Part of Growing Up” by Clay Shirky, 30, Jan. 2026. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/opinion/ai-social-skills-relationships.html

The article discusses how AI is reducing students’ cognitive offloading and changing how they think and learn. We are also seeing how it is affecting emotional and cognitive ability.

The claim that is being made throughout, the article is that although we are using AI, it’s becoming a trustworthy source for emotional support, or when students lack social skills and also have social anxiety. And because of that it is causing threats on human relationships, and ability to connect. Which affects the emotional offloading that young adolescents and others need to critical think when they’re using AI as emotional support.

Overall , based of the article, I feel that we need to focus on what is happening with the generational gap and why individuals that are young adolescent field. They are more connected to understand and relate to AI for emotional support, then others around them..

  • Adapting to a New World: Teachers on How A.I. Is Reshaping the Classroom

”Adapting to a New World: Teachers on How A.I. Is Reshaping the Classroom” The Learning Network, 26, February 2026. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/26/learning/teachers-on-how-ai-is-reshaping-the-classroom.html

The overall purpose of the article is to talk about the experiences of teachers and students in certain schools and what they believe AI has enforced upon classrooms and has prevented in the classrooms. I think it’s important to see more prominent experiences in what people actually believe in because AI is never going away, so how do teachers enforce that in the classroom and use it to their benefit?

One teacher talks about how they feel that AI is A good change for students because of the fact that Educational systems have prevented students to build off of curiosity where AI can help with curiosity by being asked questions and have acknowledge to help students learn.

Another teacher talks about how a student is using Snapchat AI to help with their homework and how they were also experimenting with Their Snapchat AI so they can see if the results for assignments from their colleagues were accurate.

Overall , from reading what teachers had to say through their experiences and opinions about AI in the use of the classroom, I think the most of them feel that the expectations and goals that they have for the students if they want them to learn and engage in The information that they are moving so that it’s not being taken away by what I could know and be done for students.

  • A.I. Companies Are Eating Higher Education

Matthew Connelly, “A.I. Companies Are Eating Higher Education” New York Times, 12 February, 2026 https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/12/opinion/ai-companies-college-students.html

Matthew Connelly overall concept of writing this article was to touch base about the importance question in institution, Why are higher education students are using AI and what are the effects of it when involving critical thinking and learning?

One thing, I noticed that affects higher-level students is that when they are using AI resources they are not reading carefully and grasping the understanding of the concepts/content discussed in class. As we all know when we are trying to learn using AI is not the best tool if you are asking and choosing for them to do your own work. I think the unfortunate thing that faculty and students know in schools is that AI is not going away, However, we should create boundaries/rules around the best ways AI can be used for higher education so that students can still critical think and learn in a classroom environment.

One reason, I fear that we have become used to the idea of using AI to do our work is the big change of learning when Covid happened. For example, it was really hard to learn any new ideas when your whole learning environment changed from a classroom to your home. Because of that shift, students were less motivated to learn and remember what are basic critical thinking skills that we have to use in a classroom. Also, there was no room/time for students to relearn concepts to help better their education, which is why they are potentially using AI for support. I think if students were one day taught again, the basic skills of learning in a classroom it would become easier for students to grasp more concepts and learn efficiently better.

  • A.I. Is Making Doctors Answer a Question: What Are They Really Good For?

Gina Kolata, “A.I. Is Making Doctors Answer a Question: What Are They Really Good For?” 09 February, 2026 https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/09/health/ai-chatbots-doctors-medicine.html

The purpose of the article was to understand and do the research of what are ways that AI is preventing individuals from the real life experiences of doctors and Ken AI become a doctor for individuals.

I feel as if when it comes to doctors it is important to have that one on one connection because that’s what build the value of the relationship and trust with your doctor to keep seeing them.

Also with AI like mentioned in the article there is a bias of how you treat the patient if they are say something grammatically incorrect. I think it is hard to believe that patients can get the best treatment/help if they are using AI that is intentional with their own bias. I think it’s important for doctors to take the time to understand and learn what has happened so they can properly diagnose you. Because if they don’t use to those things patients might be diagnosed with wrong thing or miss something. Also u feel like of you search or ask AI to diagnose like a doctor, it might misdiagnose you and cause you to freak out, where a human doctor who is trained and educated in the field can help you better understand what is going on.
